Crêpe is a very thin pancake that originates from France. This homemade crepe recipe is so easy to make, that there is no reason you shouldn’t be making it. It requires only 6 ingredients which you probably already have at home.
You can customize the crepes with all of your favorite toppings, and choose between sweet or savory. My favorite filling is with Nutella, bananas, and walnuts, but you can use your imagination and go wild. You can serve these crepes for breakfast or dessert, or even eat them as a snack.
How to make the best homemade crêpes:
- 1 cup flour all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- a pinch of salt
In a large bowl beat the eggs, then add the flour, milk, sugar, and vegetable oil. Mix the batter until it gets smooth. Refrigerate the batter for at least 30 minutes, or if you have time to spare, for 24 hours.
Grease a cooking pan with a little bit of oil, butter, or cooking spray which is over medium heat. Then pour the batter into the pan and swirl it around so the batter is evenly spread across the whole pan.
Cook for 1-2 minutes or until the edges of the crepe start to separate and lift from the pan, then flip the crepe on the other side and cook for about 30 seconds to a minute.
Place the cooked crepe on a plate and repeat until you have cooked all the batter. Then the best part serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
