Blueberry Muffins

Guide on making the perfect blueberry muffins:


  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1/2 cup of softened butter
  • 2 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 teaspoons sugar


Start by preheating the oven to 400° F and lining a 12 cup muffin tin with paper liners, then mix the 1 1/4 cups of sugar with the butter and stir until the mix is soft and light.

Then start adding eggs one at a time while mixing well, after beating both eggs into the mixture add the vanilla extract. After that add milk, flour, baking powder, and salt into the batter and mix well.

Crush half of the blueberries and add them into the batter, then add the remaining berries and mix thoroughly. Fill the muffin tin that we prepared earlier with the batter and sprinkle the remaining 3 teaspoons of sugar.

After putting the blueberry muffins in the oven lower the heat to 375° F, and let them finish baking (should take from 30 to 35 minutes).

When the muffins are done take them out of the oven and put them on a cooling rack letting them cool for at least 30 minutes before digesting.
