Guide on making the tastiest chicken alfredo bake recipe:
- 12 oz. penne pasta (cooked in salted water according to package directions)
- 3 cups cooked chicken (diced)
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup parmesan cheese (grated)
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp parsley (chopped)
- 1 tsp garlic (minced)
- cooking spray
Start by preheating the oven to 375 °F. Then spray a baking sheet using the cooking spray.
Now, melt the entire butter in a pan over medium heat. Once the butter has melted, add the garlic and cook for 30 more seconds. Then add the flour and cook for an additional minute.
Next, add the milk and cream and bring the mixture to a simmer. Whisk the mixture until sauce thickens.
Then, add 1/4 of the mozzarella cheese and the parmesan cheese. Season the mixture with salt and pepper, and stir so the cheese melts.
After that, in a large bowl, place the chicken and pasta. Then pour the sauce on top of the pasta and chicken and toss the mixture around so that the sauce mixes evenly with the pasta and chicken.
Finally, place the pasta in the prepared baking sheet and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Then place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and starting to brown.
Once the pasta has finished baking take it out of the oven and sprinkle with the parsley. Enjoy!
