How to make the perfect Stromboli recipe from home:
- 1 refrigerated pizza dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 15 slices Italian salami
- 1 tsp Parmesan cheese
- 20 slices deli pepperoni
- 1 cup Mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg (beaten)
Start by preheating the oven to 400 °F and lightly flour a work surface or a square of parchment paper and roll your pizza dough into a rectangle.
Then spread the pizza sauce across the pizza dough, leaving about 2 inches from each side. After that, top the sauce with the salami and pepperoni. Then sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of the Italian meats.
After that, start by tucking the ends inward and continue rolling tightly until the Stromboli is sealed. You can pinch if needed.
Then place seam side down on a baking sheet. Brush the top with the egg wash and sprinkle with the Italian seasoning and parmesan cheese.
Put the Stromboli in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes, or until the top is a golden brown color. Once it’s done baking, take it out of the oven, let it rest for 10 minutes, and then slice it. Serve with your favorite sauce and enjoy!
