Step-by-step guide on making the flakiest Nutella pastry twists:
- 2 sheets frozen puff pastry (defrosted)
- 1 cup Nutella
- 1 egg
Start by preheating the oven to 350 °F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper, lightly spray with cooking spray.
Then lightly flour a working surface and unfold one sheet of the thawed puff pastry. After that, using a rolling pin, roll, press, and stretch the dough, sealing together any folds that you find.
Next, spread the Nutella evenly onto the rolled puff pastry. Then flatten the second puff pastry the same way and put it on top of the first.
After that, using a pizza cutter or a knife, cut your pastry into 1″ strips you cut them even thinner. Then twist each strip into a twist as tightly as you can and place them on the prepared baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Now, in a small bowl whisk the egg and brush the top of the pastry twists.
Bake the Nutella pastry twists for approximately 15 minutes or until their tops have a golden-brown color.
Once they are done baking, take them out of the oven and let them cool for at least 5 minutes before digesting. Enjoy!
