French Dip Tortilla Roll-Ups

French dip roll-ups are savory little beef sandwiches with melty cheese all wrapped up in warm and golden tortillas. The roll-up itself is made up of ready-to-go store-bought ingredients and the sauce is very easy and takes just minutes to make.

This recipe is delicious on its own but paired with this homemade dipping sauce it tastes heavenly. The perfect recipe for those weeknight dinners when you need to get something tasty on the table quickly without having to do too much.

Tutorial On Making The Tastiest French Dip Tortilla Roll-Ups:

  • 4 (12-inch) flour tortillas
  • 4 slices Provolone cheese (about 5 oz.)
  • 1/2 lb deli sliced roast beef
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) beef consomme
  • 3/4 cup French fried onions
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Start by preheating the oven to 425 °F.

Next, lay the tortillas on a counter or a clean work surface. Rip the provolone apart into smaller pieces and split it up evenly over every tortilla.

Then, again, evenly distribute the deli roast beef over the cheese,

After that, sprinkle the French fried onions over the roast beef.

Now, in order to form the rolls, fold the sides of the tortillas inwards, then tightly roll the tortilla into a roll.

Once you’ve rolled up the tortillas, brush a tiny amount of olive oil on the edge of the tortilla so that it sticks and doesn’t open and fall apart. Then place the tortillas seam side down on a baking sheet. Repeat this process with all of the tortillas. Then brush the remaining olive oil over the tops of the tortilla roll-ups.

Then, place the baking sheet with tortillas in the preheated oven and bake them for approximately 10 minutes or until the tortilla roll-ups have been browned.

While the roll-ups are in the oven baking, make the dipping sauce. So, in a medium saucepan placed over medium heat combine the soy sauce, beef consommé, water, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder and garlic powder. Cook the sauce until it has been warmed through.

Finally, if desired, cut the tortilla roll-ups into pieces and serve while the dipping sauce you just made is still warm.
