Frittatas are a very versatile recipe. You only need some eggs, vegetables, and some meat. If you are a vegetarian, feel free to leave out the meat, it tastes just as good!
This recipe is an easy egg dish, which can be made on a stovetop, or oven-baked. It’s incredibly creamy, custardy, and delicious. If you want a quick, easy, and healthy breakfast, then you need to stop looking. You can even eat frittatas for dinner or brunch.
Instructions on making the best frittata:
- 10 eggs
- 4 slices bacon
- 4 cups mixed vegetables of choice
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1/2 cup onion (diced)
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
Start by preheating the oven to 425 °F and whisk all the eggs together in a large bowl.
Then add the sea salt, black pepper, milk, paprika, and mix until all the ingredients have combined. After that, add the shredded Cheddar cheese and mix well.
Next, in a 10-inch cast-iron skillet, which is over medium heat, cook onion, bacon, and garlic for approximately 5 minutes, or until the bacon starts browning.
After that, add the vegetables of your choice and cover the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until bacon browns and vegetables soften. Make sure you stir regularly to avoid burning the bacon.
Then, add the eggs to the mixture and mix well. Make sure that all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Cook the Frittata for about 5 minutes, or until the edges are set. After 5 minutes have passed, transfer the skillet to the oven. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes, or until the top has a golden brown color.
Rest for 5-10 minutes, then slice and serve warm. Enjoy!
