This simple cheesy taco sticks recipe makes 10 buttery breadsticks which are then filled with delicious taco meat and lots of ooey-gooey cheese. Made in just under 25 minutes this recipe is a must-try.
Guide On Making The Most Amazing Cheesy Taco Sticks:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 tube Pillsbury Pizza Dough
- 5 Colby jack and cheddar cheese sticks (halved)
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 4 tbsp butter (melted)
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Start by preheating the oven to 425 °F.
Next, using non-stick cooking spray, lightly spray a large baking sheet.
Now, cook the ground beef, and using a wooden spoon, break it apart. Cook the ground beef until it’s crumbled and brown.
Then, carefully drain off any excess fat. After that, add the taco seasoning to the ground beef and stir until it’s fully incorporated and fragrant.
Remove the skillet from the stove top and set it aside so that the ground beef cools.
After that, spread the pizza dough flat on a clean surface and cut it in half lengthwise. Then, create 10 equal rectangles – cut both doughs into 4 rectangles.
Next, place about 1 tablespoon of the ground beef onto each of the rectangles. Now, place the halved cheese and roll up the cheesy taco sticks very carefully. Also, make sure to pinch the seams down.
Once you’ve pinched the seams down, in a small bowl, combine the melted butter, parsley, and garlic powder. Brush the tops of the cheesy taco sticks using the melted butter mixture.
Finally, bake the cheesy taco stick for approximately 10 minutes or until you see a beautiful golden brown color on top.
Serve with your favorite taco toppings, I personally like a side of guacamole.
