How to make the tastiest lemon butter scallops:

For the scallops:

  • 1 lb. scallops
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Kosher salt
  • freshly ground black pepper

For the sauce:

  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley leaves (chopped)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Kosher salt
  • freshly ground black pepper

Start by melting 1 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Then remove the small side muscle from the scallop and rinse it with cold water. Once you’ve done that, pat the scallops dry.

Then season the scallops with kosher salt and freshly ground pepper. After that, add the scallops to a skillet.

Cook until you see a golden brown color, then flip to the other side and cook for the same time. That should take approximately 2 minutes.

Next, it’s time to make the lemon butter sauce. So start by melting 2 tbsp of butter in the same skillet.

Now, add the garlic and stir the mixture frequently. Stir until garlic is frequent, which should take about a minute.

Finally, add the lemon juice and season with salt and pepper. Serve the scallops with the lemon butter sauce and enjoy!
