This recipe for Mongolian Ground Beef Noodles came about as an effort to clean out the pantry after the holidays. Once your family tries it I can guarantee it will be one of your favorites.
The perfect combination of tender rice noodles and sweet and spicy flavors is so good! You can make this in 30 minutes or less and it tastes even better than the restaurant version. The perfect balance of savory, sweet, tangy, garlicky sauce smothered over tender strips of beef and perfectly cooked broccoli, what more could you want!
Guide On Making The Tastiest Mongolian Beef and Broccoli with Noodles:
- 1 1/2 pounds stir fry beef
- 2 packages ramen noodles – boiled til tender and drained
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2/3 cup soy sauce – (I used low sodium)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 tbsp cold water + 2 tsp corn starch
- 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp sriracha
- chopped green onions (for garnish)
Start by whisking together the soy sauce, water, brown sugar, garlic, sriracha, hoisin, and rice vinegar in a medium-sized bowl. Then set aside.
Next, in a large skillet over medium-high, heat the oil. Add the beef and saute in the oil for 5-6 minutes. Add broccoli and saute 3-4 minutes longer.
After that, stir together the cold water and corn starch till dissolved.
Now, Add sauce and bring to a boil. Stir in corn starch slurry til thickened. Then reduce the heat to low.
Finally, stir in the noodles. If desired, garnish with some green onions.
