- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup heavy/whipping cream
- 8 oz. caramels
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
- 1/2 tsp coarse grain salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp coarse salt
Start by melting the caramel in a small saucepan over medium heat. Once it’s done melting, set it aside for later.
Now, in a medium-sized bowl, add the butter and sugar and mix well until the mixture turns creamy. Then add the vanilla mixture and finally add the egg.
