  • 2 cups flour
  • 8 thinly sliced chicken breasts
  • 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbs hot sauce
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 egg
  • Canola oil for frying


Start by heating the canola oil in a large pan or deep fryer on 325 ­°F. While the oil is heating up in a large bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper) and mix well.

In another large bowl, whisk the wet ingredients (buttermilk, hot sauce, and egg).

After that, cover the chicken with the flour mixture, then with the buttermilk mixture, then again with the flour mixture.

Then place the chicken in the heated oil and fry each side for approximately 5 minutes, or until the chicken has a golden-brown color. After the chicken has finished frying, place it on paper towels to let it drain.
