This sauce has a perfect consistency, it’s incredibly creamy and smooth. The little bit of heat from the chipotles and a touch of smokey flavor from the peppers themselves and the additional smoked paprika makes this sauce taste 10 times better. Cilantro and lime round out the flavors perfectly and make it the perfect consistency.
How To Make The Tastiest Chipotle Mayo Ever:
- 1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup cilantro (packed)
- 3-6 chipotle peppers from a can
- 2-3 tbsp adobo sauce from the can
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- 1/8 tsp black pepper
Start by throwing all ingredients into a blender, then blend it until the mixture is smooth!
Next, start with 3 tiny chipotle peppers and then increase the amount from there. If you’re worried about the spice being too hot begin with just a couple of tablespoons of adobo sauce or leave it out completely. (The adobo gives the sauce a deeper flavor so leaving it out is not recommended)
Now, if you want your sauce to be zingier add some more lime juice.
Then, thin the sauce out by using a small amount of milk or water if you desire a drizzling consistency. Begin by adding small amounts at a time. Be careful not to add too much. You do not want to muffle the flavor.
Keep leftovers inside a container or a squeeze bottle so that you’re prepared for any situation involving chipotle mayo!
